PCG Newsletter - 30th January 2014

Current News from the PCG!

January 30th, 2014 Dear PCG Members!

It's been a while since our last update but in that time we have been super busy here at the  PCG. I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and were able to recharge those creative batteries a little and that the New Year got off to a good start for you all.

The end of 2013 saw us introducing the members area on the PCG site and also a fabulous revamp to our directory of members so that you are all now in categories in alphabetical order. I hope that you agree that this was a great improvement.

Other changes that we already have for the start of 2014 are as follows:

The PCG Committee (consisting of myself and four Guild Members) has leaped into action and we have already started on some great changes to how the Guild works with more to come. You may have already noticed a couple of our committee members posting on our Facebook page with useful and interesting information as well as offering shares etc. This will hopefully continue and we aim to bring you some very exciting new features including Q & A sessions with various experts.
The Committee consists of:

  • Myself
  • Sarah O'Connell from The Crafty Magpie who is one of our Supplier Members
  • Kerry Chumbley from Paperama who is one of our Premium PCG Members
  • Louise Oakes from Elsie, May and Bertha who is one of our PCG Members
  • Nicola Smith from A Handcrafted Business who is one of our Supplier Members
Business Information and Tips
We now have new sections in our members area that offer a growing range of information that could be useful for your business as well as marketing tips and other articles. It is certainly well worth a look and will keep growing so do check back every so often.

Premium Member Feature Pages
Our Premium Members (both supplier and member) should have all received an email this week with a form attached regarding our new feature pages. Each Premium member is now entitled to a FULL PAGE on the PCG site to advertise their business. You can see examples of a member page here and a supplier page here. If your email went astray you can download a copy from the Premium Members section in the Members Area. These pages not only provide you with an extra URL for your business but are a fabulous advertisement. Standard members are welcome to upgrade at any time and can find the application forms on our site along with a special discount offer to all Wow Thank You and Crafty Magpie store owners. We will shortly also be offering this discount to members who belong to Nicola's A Handcrafted Business site.

Member News
Before Christmas we helped one of our members procure a large order from a huge PLC. They went up against large print houses and not only won the order but the customer was extremely impressed with the service and quality. It was wonderful to be a part of the negotiations.
Congratulations to Claire from Heartfelt Occasions! You will definitely be receiving one of our special 'Reviewed and Approved' by the PCG badges.

As always we would appreciate it if you could help us to promote the PCG in every way you can. Linked member pages on sites, printed certificates etc at events, mentions on Facebook and Twitter and Forums. All of these would be fabulous.

I think that about wraps it up for now. Remember that you can always contact me either by email or through Facebook, twitter etc.

All my best,
Anna
