Current News from the PCG!

August 22, 2013

Dear PCG Members!

Welcome to our August Newsletter!
Over the last month it has been great to see that so many of you have seen a pick up in sales, long may this continue as we head straight for the festive season of 2013!
Before I update you on the changes to our website I just want to mention...

Magazine Publishing
Creative Crafting magazine celebrates it's 4th Anniversary with the October 2013 Issue. We always like to feature as many PCG members as possible so please get in touch if you would like to contribute to this special issue. We are looking for:
  • Halloween or Autumn themed projects and tutorials.
  • Well written pieces on different crafts.
  • Pieces on 'Your Business Journey'
  • Pieces on how to keep costs down.
  • Inspirational stories.
  • Your details if you would like to go on our interviews list
You can email me directly at the Guild or send straight through to
articles@creative-crafting.com

Text needs to be in a word document with good quality images attached to the email. Articles for the October issue need to be received by 12 September at the very latest. Sooner is always better to make sure you get your spot.

Members can purchase a digital copy of the August 2013 issue of Creative Crafting with a 40% discount by entering the code
PCGAUG2013 via the DISCOUNTED button on this page http://creative-crafting.com/august_2013.html

Changes to the PCG website
Last week you will have received a password to the new members area on our website. Apologies for this coming out of the blue, the software sent them out sooner than expected. You can access the new area from the option at the bottom of the navigational bar on the left side of our site. There are not many options in it right now but this should hopefully change over the next year as we add more things. Currently you will find our member discounts section, details about being published in Creative Crafting and a discounted Logo and Avatar service. If you have any difficulty accessing this area please get in touch and let me know so that I can look into it for you.

I am also in the process of redesigning the member directories so that they are more user friendly for members and visitors to the site in general. When complete all members will be placed in crafting categories (additional category listings can be added at a cost of £1 per category). Within these categories you will be in alphabetical order by business name rather than registration number, also for ease of navigation.

When these new pages are ready to view I will send out another email so that you can check your category placing and let me know if it is incorrect. (I can only go by the short description you added on your initial application so I apologise if you are initially placed in the wrong section, this can be rectified).

This process is being considerably held up by members with incorrect or dead links. Please, please, please check your information with us and let us know if:
  • You are no longer trading and would like us to remove you completely.
  • You have changed your business name or type.
  • You have new URL links to stores etc (This one is urgent)
Please email me at info@procraftersguild.com As we have so many members this will take quite a while to complete but I'm sure it will be worth it.

I think that about wraps it up for now. Remember that you can always contact me either by email or through Facebook, twitter etc.

All my best,
Anna
